Exciting News!
Cooney Orthodontics is set to grow with the opening of our second location at 30 Round Lake Road in Malta! This brand new, state of the art facility is conveniently located right off of Northway Exit 11. Construction is now underway and a grand opening is expected in March 2012. With the addition of our Malta office we will continue to provide the same high quality and innovative orthodontic care that has been our hallmark for over 50 years with even more convenience and options for our patients, their families and referring dentists.
The new building at 30 Round Lake Road in Malta will also be the new location of the family dental practice of Dr. Mark Roschinsky, whose current office is right next door. Dr. Roschinsky has been providing high quality dental care to families in the Malta area for over 25 years. The two offices, while distinct and completely separate, will be able to offer patients convenience and excellent service in a truly wonderful new facility.
In addition, this past June our Troy office underwent a significant renovation and remodel - continuing our commitment to offering the highest quality orthodontic care in a progressive and modern facility with some of the best views in the Capital District! In both our Troy and Malta locations, patients can count on the same courteous and highly personalized service they have come to know and expect from Dr. Cooney and his dedicated, professional staff.

Happenings at Dr Cooney’s Orthodontic Office!
Our office had an amazing summer…. sharing summer fun with all our wonderful patients. We received over 200 pictures and postcards in the Summer Fun Contest for a chance to win an iPad 2. Our facebook page was a splash of fun pictures and our bulletin board was covered with postcards. Search Cooney Orthodontics on facebook to view the photo album and don’t forget to “like” us!
Randy was our winner of the iPad 2 and very happy to receive such a cool gift from Dr. Cooney!
On October 1st Dr. Cooney sponsored a team in the Race for the Cure for the 7th year! The day was cold, windy and wet but the Brace for the Race team brightened the day with our yellow team tees and great support for a worthy cause. The Komen Race for the Cure raises money for education and research in the fight against breast cancer.

February is Dental Health Month. Dr. Cooney’s office celebrates by visiting Bell Top Elementary School. Dr. Cooney’s daughters Lily and Kara helped pack all the goody bags with the essential dental hygiene items :)

The Race for the Cure, held Saturday October 2nd attracted thousands of walkers and runners. “Brace for the Race” with Cooney Orthodontics had a wonderful team. Family and friends came out to support the fight against breast cancer. See many more pictures on our facebook page. Also read an interview with Dr. Cooney in the Troy Record that very morning.
Dr. Cooney’s Office enjoyed a fun day wearing local school football jerseys and jeans. What a Great way to kick off the school year and show our school spirit. Make sure to check out the photo album of all the fun, on our facebook page.

National Dental Health Month
Dr. Cooney celebrates National Dental Health Month with Kindergarten, 3rd and 4th grades at Bell Top Elementary School in the East Greenbush Central School District.

Dr. Cooney presented his annual lecture to the second year Dental Hygiene students at Hudson Valley Community College on February 22, 2010. His lecture provided an overview of orthodontic treatment and the important role of proper treatment timing in orthodontics.

Race for the Cure
Was a Huge Success!
Everyone noticed our team decked out in tye dye! We were successful in raising money, spending time with family and friends and all for a good cause. This year’s team picture is bright and cheerful. Plan to join the fun next fall.
